We do live in a backwards culture. One of my angst is
the absence of true manhood in culture, home and sadly the church. The
recent and sad episode with Anthony Weiner is proof of this slipping. Not
only do we have the obvious a man unfaithful to his wife, asking people to lie
for him, and leaving his position disgraced yet well paid. The aftermath
of this unfortunate tragedy is once again reminder (if we needed it) how
desperately we need real men to rise up. The following
article opines
that the real problem for Mrs. Weiner is that she married a handsome man.
And as everybody knows (at least they do) handsome men can’t be
trusted.
To balance this crazy logic, we have a
